Jason Millet was kind enough to colour up the Seventies Style Legion poster I drew last year.

A few months back I did a Delirium drawing for a winner in the contest promoting the Toybox Turmoil book release.  I wasn't familiar with the character at the time and did a few drawings that I rejected part way through because I couldn't decide where to go with them. This was one of the rejections. While working on the cover for The Tried And Failed Gang it dawned on me that maybe a Booth style background could hold the drawing together, so I thought I'd take another run at it before I just toss it into the recycle bin.

If I don't screw up the inks then it might turn out alright in the end. We'll see. Could just end up being a mess of lines. If I don't post the inks up in a week or two then you'll know which way that fell. Right into the recycle bin after all.

The Death drawing I posted earlier was also another of the drawings that I rejected for that same contest. So many of these half-finished pieces laying about the studio.

And here's the inked version of the cover. A little wink to Franklin Booth in the background.

The story itself can be downloaded for free at Saturday Morning Webtoons. Check out all the other downloads while you're there, especially Lopopo's Lost Sock.

The Tried And Failed Gang

Here is the pencil version of the cover for  the upcoming follow up to Lopopo's Lost Sock. Lopopo himself only has a guest appearance in the story as we turn our attention towards a group of young teens I'm calling The Tried And Failed Gang. As you can see by the cover, this story involves treasure hunting.

The second Lopopo story is now all drawn up.Well, to be fair, Lopopo and Oddbits are only guest stars in this story, but what you get from them should be pretty amusing.

Only thing left to do is get the story lettered. If all goes well I may be able to get some black and white mini comics done up for Fan Expo.

Samus Aran and Shade The Changing Man for Contest Winners

These are the final two drawings for the Muddle The Murd contest winners that was running on the CGS podcast. The contest was done to help promote the release of the Toybox Turmoil book coming out from Markosia this August. (June Previews catalogue is where I believe it will be listed.)

Hopefully the winners are satisfied with the results as I had very little familiarity with the characters they chose. The first one is Samus Aran and the other is Shade the Changing Man.
